Freya Skye: Stars Align Tour
The making of pop’s next biggest star.
As creative directors for Freya Skye, Black Skull have ushered in a new era for one of pop's most exciting rising stars. Having nurtured the relationship since her breakout on Junior Eurovision, we have built a campaign from the inside out, amplifying a genuinely gifted musician and her fiercely devoted fan base, the Skye Lights, into the star she was always going to be.
That vision came to life first on the Stars Align tour, where we designed the show around a single organising idea - Freya as the North Star, the audience as the universe around her. We built the room from physical texture and dimensional light: curtains of hanging star lights at increased density, a shooting-star chandelier, a cut-out star fascia, ego risers and a star-shaped thrust that pushed Freya into the crowd. The design scaled cleanly from arena to small theatre without losing that intimacy.
The 'bad taste' campaign, launching soon, moves Freya into sharper, more fashion-led territory - a classic Americana diner of checkerboard tiles, red leather booths and milkshakes, set against her natural charm and accessibility. Black Skull shaped the era end to end, from the cover art and full design package to the music video.
Now Black Skull are developing the 2.0 version of the Stars Align tour, launching later this year - not a reset but a deepening of the world we've built, growing bolder alongside Freya's audience while keeping the intimacy that made it connect.
